How this research console is offered, what a workspace may collect, and what a ranking is not.
The service
These terms describe the ScoopData research console at this site. They apply when you create an account, join an organization, or use the public pages.
ScoopData stores public discussion you choose to collect and the reviews your workspace makes so a ranking can still point at a quote. It is not a consumer social network, a market-research firm, or legal, investment, or professional advice.
Accounts and organizations
You must provide an accurate email and keep your password private. Organization owners decide who may join, which role they hold, and when to close the workspace.
You may not use ScoopData if you are under 16. You may not share a sign-in, probe another organization’s data, or attempt to bypass plan limits, review gates, or access checks.
Evidence and review
Live collection uses only the approved public APIs you enable on a project: Hacker News and Stack Exchange. Adapters keep canonical links, timestamps, and the raw payload. Upstream HTML is never rendered.
Extracted signals are review candidates. A person in the workspace must accept a quote before it can cluster. Automatic recurrence uses distinct stored source records. Confirm, dismiss, merge, and split decisions are append-only.
Demonstration data is labelled as such and is never genuine evidence. Do not present demonstration records as live findings.
Plans and billing
Plan limits are enforced by the server and listed on the pricing page. Paid amounts appear in Stripe Checkout and the customer portal; ScoopData does not store card numbers or invent a euro price.
When billing is configured, Stripe handles Checkout, the portal, and subscription webhooks. Changing or cancelling a paid plan is done in that portal. Until Checkout is configured, paid upgrades remain unavailable.
When a sender is configured, Resend delivers verification, invitation, password-reset, report, and research-notification messages you asked the product to send. We do not use those addresses for unrelated marketing.
Availability and conclusions
We aim to keep the console available, but collection, extraction, and background runs can fail, pause at a review gate, or be partial. A score is a stored formula over accepted evidence, not a prediction that a product should be built.
The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, completeness of public APIs, or that a ranking will lead to a particular commercial result.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of the page will change. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
